It was described in the Stamford Mercury of 11th June 1813 as being of modern design with two kitchens, breakfast, eating and drawings rooms, with nine bedrooms above. Now it has been transformed into a beautiful 20 room hotel offering modern comforts and traditional service. While retaining the elegance and style of the original building, it has been brought it into the 21st century as regards comfort and convenience, and in it's tranquil setting provides the very best in hospitality and service. Bedrooms are tastefully furnished with antiques and pretty floral fabrics, and the candle-lit dining room and conservatory provides an attractive background for the enjoyment of fine food and wine. Conservatory and bar, overlooking the acre of twin-gardens, delight the eye with hanging baskets and pot plants. Altogether, the Garden House Hotel offers an ideal atmosphere in which to relax and unwind.
