Le Grys
Barn is situated peacefully on the edge of Wacton Common; a conservation
area where time stands still, skylarks swoop in dramatic Norfolk skies,
and below, in the summer months, cattle graze peacefully as they have
done for centuries. The pond which ‘Commoners’
used as a water supply is now home to wild duck and heron. A walk down
the green lane by the barn is a true escape into the English
countryside. The red glow of the pantile roof is the first sight of the
traditional black threshing barn. Guest are warmly welcomed into
this uncommercial and secluded retreat in the heart of South Norfolk. A
separate wing of low barns has been thoughtfully and stylishly converted
into two luxurious and romantic ensuite bedrooms, the emphasis being on
privacy and comfort. Each has its own private entrance and terrace
overlooking herbaceous beds, a lawn tennis court and open fields.
