Highfield offers a high standard of accommodation and welcome. Guests have their own comfortable spacious sitting room, overlooking the lawns with colour television and video, board games and books, with an open fire in winter. All rooms are centrally heated. There are three bedrooms, one of which is a twin with an en-suite bathroom. The double and twin room with wash basin, share a bathroom ( arrangements can be made for a private bathroom for a small supplement). All have tea and coffee making trays and hair dryers. Breakfast cooked in the Aga using our own Organic (Soil Association) Free Range Eggs is served in the charming dining room overlooking the conservatory. There are several local pubs for evening meals and restaurants offering a high standard, details of which can be found in the sitting room. Highfield is centrally situated in North Norfolk for visiting the heritage houses at Blickling, Sandringham, Felbrigg, Houghton, the wonderful Norfolk beaches and bird reserves at Titchwell and Cley (particularly good bird watching) as well as local museums and art galleries. The farm runs down to the Wensum valley where the well-known waterfowl park of Pensthorpe can be found. Highfield Farm is a working family farm of about 600 acres, set away from the village of Great Ryburgh. A car or a bicycle is essential as public transport is intermittent at best. Wellington boots are also essential if wet!
