Rosie Britton Gray's
Farmhouse A former shooting lodge, set in a maze of paths through ancient untouched woodland and wildflower meadows rich in wildlife. The farmhouse has stripped floors, massive flagstones, old oak beams, and in winter a blazing log fire welcomes you in the lovely dining room. Breakfast includes a choice of fresh fruit juices, fruit, fruit compote and yoghourts, home-made bread & preserves, and English Breakfast using produce from the local farm shop and is sometimes served in the conservatory. The light, airy bedrooms are deeply peaceful and have "en suite" bath or shower rooms. There are TV and easy chairs in each room, and water from our own spring that recent guests described as "ambrosia." Rosie and Roger regret that they cannot accept dogs in the bedrooms. If you are happy for your dog to sleep in the car, please mention this when booking so that they can give you a room overlooking the parking area. Reliably well-behaved dogs can sometimes sleep in the utility room, by arrangement Magazines, books, maps, fresh flowers and copious information are provided in an informal manner to help guests to feel as relaxed and truly welcomed as if they were visiting old friends.
