This charming 17th century coaching inn, is family owned and managed by the Eason family, who are only the fourth landlords of "The Hood" in over a century!

Recently, the Easons decided to celebrate ten years of ownership by completely refurbishing the inn, and have created a comfortable, spacious and stylish venue, enjoyed by local diners and "week-enders" who come from far a field to enjoy traditional comfort and quality cuisine.

Restaurant areas are arranged to accommodate those wishing to enjoy an intimate dinner for two, or larger groups of guests who are meeting friends or family for various celebrations.

Open fireplaces invite gatherings of guests for pre-dinner drinks or coffee, and the cosy ambience is enhanced throughout by a preponderance of original oak beams and cob stone walls which are a feature of the locality.
