The one-acre terraced garden is filled with rare and interesting plants, there is space for children to play, and the kitchen garden provides organic fruit and vegetables. It is in a conservation area, so the peace of the countryside is here, and yet it takes less than 10 minutes to drive into the city. Those who enjoy walking, can do so directly from the house on public footpaths through unspoilt countryside, and it is also possible to hire bicycles nearby. Breakfasts are provided, as much as is practical, from food that has been produced locally or from the garden. All jams and marmalades are home-made; teas and coffees are from Fair Trade suppliers. Jane & Anthony are as environmentally friendly as possible, and have been awarded a Certificate for Green Tourism.
